Role Description
We are looking to expand by adding Working Foreman (carpentry) to our construction team. Working Foreman will be the key go-to person for the workers. This is an important role, and an exciting opportunity for a qualified candidate to join our growing team.
- Hands-on experience in Carpentry, Concrete works and perform all concrete related works.
- Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of carpenters, general Labourers, helpers, and related construction crew.
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other departments.
- Request materials/supplies and maintain inventory.
- Train and maintain reports on employee performance and safety.
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with standard company procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Collaborate with Lead Carpenters and Site Supervisors/Project Managers.
Job Requirements
- 5 – 6 years of experience as a foreman in the construction industry would be ideal.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
- Hands-on experience in Carpentry, Concrete works, Structural Steel.
- Ability to lift, handle and move up to 50lbs.
- A willingness to work outside in various weather conditions.
- Maintain the safe and proper working order of all tools and equipment on site.
Working Conditions
- Willing and able to travel and work on projects away from home base for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to commit to full time
- Standing for extended periods of time and repetitive tasks.
- Must wear personal protective equipment.
- Flexible to take on different tasks
- Ability to work shifts and extended hours if required to meet deadlines
